Cleaning the Gallery

Most of my art is so old that I felt it needed to be cleaned out so I've gone and moved things around in my gallery. Old art should now be in the aptly named "Old Art" folder, miscellaneous art are under "Misc" and all my photos are under - of course - "Photos" folder. Most of my newer art should be the first things you see when you enter Gallery.
On that note, I'll try to post more artwork up. For those of you hanging around Manga Tutorials, you may have already seen them but I'll try to find and then post up any works I've done between my last postings here at DA and my more recent works. For the new year, I hope to start making and posting art on a regular basis. :3

I'm Back! ...Well, For Now At Least :3

Hahah, hi everyone! Man, I miss this place. I hope everyone's doing great. I've been catching up on replies and so on so I'm kind of stoked to see how everyone's artistic abilities have grown. Makes me want to post some stuff I did while I've been awol for... almost two years now? Wow, that's a new record for me. XD
Anywhoooo, for those interested, I've been hanging out at Manga Tutorials (then again, don't I always?
) and made some changes a couple of months ago. If you haven't been over for awhile, do come and check out the new look. It's pretty sweet if I do say so myself. On that note, if you have made any tutorials be it on drawing, articles on writing, video tutorials, process shots, and so on - I would love to post your work at the site. Credits and links will made to you. More info here if you're interested.
I'm also going to start posting up new tutorials next month so if you have a certain tutorial request, please reply here, here or here. Aaaand, I'm off! But hopefully, for not too long of a hiatus. ; )

Take the 100 Theme Art Challenge!

Just for fun and a challenge for folks at the Manga Tutorials site, I posted about these 100 Theme Art Challenges from Manga Academy and the Group. Three weeks have gone by and there are now over 30 people signed up. Woo-hoo!
To give folks a bit more options than Manga Academy and the 100 TC Group, I've decided to put together our very own Manga Tutorials 100 Theme Art Challenge. <3 So far, it's in it's preliminary listing stage but I will be making it official next week. 100 themes is a lot and unlike the other two 100TC's I will be offering a bit more flexibility with our Challenge namely that those who participate can have the option of switching out any 10 theme's in the 100 list with those on a shorter alternative list. I hope this will give folks more of an incentive and motivation to finish the Challenge instead of being stuck doing a theme they would rather not do.
With that said, I stuck some cool themes in the Manga Tutorials Theme Challenge that I hope people will like including Steam Punk, Victorian, Thief/Assassin, Kimono, At a Temple, Lolita Fashion, Airship, and more. If you are interested in joining any of the challenges; Manga Academy, 100 TC Group, or the upcoming Manga Tutorials Challenge, please do leave a comment here, at the forum, or blog. It'll be fun to see fellow MT members take the challenge. Several members have already posted their work in the forum so drop by to check them out!

March Comes in Like a Lion

...A very wet lion.*
So... what's been happening with me? Some things:
1) I'll be going back to Yellowstone this spring. I've got a new camera that can do panoramic photos so I'm pretty psyched about going again. I will also go to Grand Tetons which I unfortunately didn't have a chance to see the last time - but this time! This time for sure~!
2) It's been about four months now that the new Manga Tutorials was open to the public. So far, we've got over 6000 members signed up so I'm super happy. The new forum is also filling up again with new threads, posts, and a very busy Critique Corner and new Contest & Events section. If you haven't dropped by in awhile, come and say "Hello".
3) I have tons of photos that I will make an effort to post up here. Photo's from Florida, Niagara Falls, Bushkill Falls, New York City (Radio City, Rockefeller, etc), The Biltmore Vanderbilt Mansion, and more.
That's pretty much it for me. I hope everyone's doing well. I'll see ya around~!
* We had an all day downpour the other day and although it melted a good portion of the snow we've accumulated this winter, we also had flood warnings. Joy.

It's a little early but I'll be so busy the next following days that I won't have time so.... Happy Thanksgiving everyone! C: C:
There's actually another reason I'm writing today and it's that the new Manga Tutorials will be set to go live December 1st next week. If you haven't been following the news for the past month or so, Manga Tutorials will be getting it's last and final makeover next week. Here's some previews of the new site:

The new site will be more community oriented and you will be able to submit tutorials more easily, upload your own images to the gallery, add videos, do polls, quizzes, and even do commissions in our new Marketplace. There will be a shout box, friends invites, ability to favorite art, comment on each others artwork and videos, chat in the forum, rate, and much more. The new site has a heck of a lot more options and things for you to do and I'm hoping it'll make Manga Tutorials a much more fun place to be for everyone.
