Another view of the Norris Geyser Basin. It's one of the places that I highly recommend you see if you ever come to Yellowstone. Be sure to bring comfortable walking shoes and water because it gets hot, hot, hot!

Nice variety of scenery here... it does look a bit desolate, though. I can see why'd you need to be careful in the summer, not much shade and I know it gets HOT!
Yeah, Yellowstone is weird like that and Norris Basin had everything. It has marshes next to hot springs, next to bleached ground, next to hills, mountains, and streams and geysers. A majority of the place was bleached and bare like in this photo and from what I heard, it's continually expanding out.
