I'm currently working on artwork for a ren'ai game called Foxtaile
, a team collaboration of an original game. This is the main character that you play in the game, Ojinko, in her fox-human form. The synopsis:
"Foxtaile takes place in the aftermath of the Japanese civil war (the Sengoku Jidai; around 1600). The worlds of gods and men collide when a wounded samurai is rescued by a group of fox spirits. A tale of trust and betrayal, of love and loss follows, and the outcome is determined by the actions of a single female fox spirit: You."
We currently have a demo out
which gives you a taste of the story. The visuals are not the final versions but you can see what they'll look like eventually from the image above.
For those interested, I originally drew the character in pencil and paper, inked it, scanned, and colored her using Photoshop. As for the overall design of the characters, I wanted to reflect and catch the beauty of the ukiyo-e or more commonly known as the Japanese woodblock prints. Anyways, I've rambled long enough - enjoy!
