Foxtaile's Ojinko by rioka Foxtaile's Ojinko by rioka
I'm currently working on artwork for a ren'ai game called Foxtaile, a team collaboration of an original game. This is the main character that you play in the game, Ojinko, in her fox-human form. The synopsis:

"Foxtaile takes place in the aftermath of the Japanese civil war (the Sengoku Jidai; around 1600). The worlds of gods and men collide when a wounded samurai is rescued by a group of fox spirits. A tale of trust and betrayal, of love and loss follows, and the outcome is determined by the actions of a single female fox spirit: You."

We currently have a demo out which gives you a taste of the story. The visuals are not the final versions but you can see what they'll look like eventually from the image above.

For those interested, I originally drew the character in pencil and paper, inked it, scanned, and colored her using Photoshop. As for the overall design of the characters, I wanted to reflect and catch the beauty of the ukiyo-e or more commonly known as the Japanese woodblock prints. Anyways, I've rambled long enough - enjoy!

I played the demo some time ago, it had a really interesting atmosphere, i guess it came from both the artworks and the story...
Wah, advance critique?!A rarity nowadays(i ranted about the subject on Lemmasoft forums :P)
There's just one thing i could point out, it's something I didn't stop doing myself though: if you look at your character's pose well enough, you should notice that she's a bit unbalancet to the left (\)
It could have been something you did on purpose as it gives her somehow the look of someone who's not totally motionless, but it's something I notice about my pictures most of the time and i thought i could also point it out anyway :3

I think I have something like those ukiyo-e at home, you captured that style really well, with all the details in her clothes and with her pale skin(i don't know why, but that's the first thing that i noticed)

Definitely the kind of preview that makes you wait for the finished game^w^
