Bleached Cliffs of Yellowstoneby ~rioka

As the title says, these are the bleached cliffs. They're that color because of the thermal activity under the ground. Yellowstone is what's called a hot spot. It's basically an active volcano. Yeah. I slept at and walked around an active volcano for a week. O_O

This was taken at Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming, USA in 2008.

Very cool canyon shot- I like it! This is one of the major National Parks that I have not yet been to- and seeing pics like yours makes we want to go even more!

Yes, go! It's beautiful! There's a lot to see all around from the views like this to waterfalls, wildlife, the hot springs, geysers, mud pots, and more volcanic activity.

What other places have you gone to, btw? I'm considering places like Mt. Rushmoore, Yosemite, Grand Canyon and so on for future trips. Is there any you recommend?
